One Card, One Question: How Much Does This Type Leave?

What does a trial bonus leave?

★★★★

In 30 seconds: 200 × 10 = 2,000 turnover, cap 1,000; cap ÷ bonus = 5. The most predictable type when clearly written.

In 30 seconds: 250 × 1.80 = 450, cap 500; one bet. The closest money for a small budget.

No-wagering page

What does a welcome bonus leave?

★★★

In 30 seconds: 1,000 + 1,000, '30× total' = 60,000; no cap but turnover exceeds most budgets. A large-budget type.

» By which criteria are bonus sites compared?

Three: cap ÷ bonus, turnover ÷ days, withdrawal time. In 30 seconds: bonus sites rank types by amount, an experienced reader ranks them by ratio; 5 and above is clearly written, 1 and below is shop window. Withdrawal time is the third criterion because winnings only become cash at the withdrawal screen.

Scenario: a reader ranked three offers by amount: 1,000 welcome, 250 no-wagering, 150 no-deposit. By ratio: no-wagering 2 (but one bet), no-deposit 5, welcome uncapped but 8,570 a day. With a daily budget of 1,000 the welcome bonus was eliminated. Comparison: the amount order 1-2-3, the maths order 3-2-1.

» Is there a maths difference between 'total' and 'bonus-only' wagering?

The word 'total' doubles turnover. In 30 seconds: many welcome bonuses wager the sum of bonus and deposit; 500 + 500 at 25× total = 25,000, bonus-only = 12,500. A licence does not change the maths, it opens a route of appeal.

Scenario: two readers deposited 500 for a 100% bonus; one at a site writing '25× total', the other at a site writing 'bonus 25×'. Same amount, double the turnover. Searching the rulebook for the word 'total' saves more than checking the licence badge.

» When should an experienced player decline a bonus?

In three cases: turnover ÷ days exceeds the budget, cap ÷ bonus is below 1, or an active bonus locks the cash balance. In 30 seconds: declining is also a calculation result; the 'free, take it' reflex can lock your own money.

Scenario: a reader wanted to withdraw 2,000 of his own cash while a 300 trial bonus was active; the 'no withdrawals while a bonus is active' clause forced him to cancel the bonus first and its winnings were removed. Maths: a week's lock on 2,000 for a 300 bonus. Comparison: declining at the start would have kept the cash free.

Questions!

An Experienced Player's Five Questions

+

How is cap ÷ bonus read?

Maximum withdrawal ÷ bonus amount. 5 and above clearly written, 2–4 middling, 1 and below shop window. 'No cap' counts only if written.

+

How much difference does 'total' wagering make?

It doubles turnover: 500+500 at 25× total = 25,000, bonus-only = 12,500.

+

Does withdrawal time depend on the type?

On the method, not the type; but on no-wagering offers the request comes early so the total path is shortest.

+

Are 'most generous sites' lists useful?

The amount order can be the reverse of the maths order. Re-rank by ratio and turnover ÷ days.

+

Does an active bonus lock my cash?

In many rulebooks yes; the cash balance cannot be withdrawn until the bonus is cancelled. Look for the clause before claiming. 18+.
